Amazon enters in Australian market

American e-commerce Company has officially announced the launched operations in Australia on Tuesday.

It was reported that the Online US retail giant Amazon has launched its operations in the Australian market to make an impact to lead the market in the coming Christmas period.

Rocco Braeuniger, country manager of Amazon Australia said in a statement, “By concentrating on providing a great shopping experience and by constantly innovating on behalf of customers, we hope to earn the trust and the custom of Australian shoppers in the years to come”.

It was learned that 24,000-square-meter warehouse will offer 23 consumer categories which will range from books, clothing, home improvement, electronics, kitchen goods, health and beauty and baby products.

It was further added, “Over time, we will create thousands of new jobs and invest hundreds of millions of dollars in Australia”.

In a bid to build a goodwill in the country, the e-commerce giant Amazon has offered a one-day delivery service across Sydney and Melbourne in coming Christmas holiday period.

Sources said that, in the coming years, Amazon has planned to bring country’s largest supermarket chains with their home brand AmazonFresh, which will offer delivery services for fresh food online.
