Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the investors’ summit 2018 on Wednesday in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
The summit will go for two days, 21 February and 22 February’ 2018 and there are around 30 sessions planned to be conducted by various ministers in two-day summit.
Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath himself checked all the preparations of the summit and addresses everyone by telling the growth of the state in previous months and further benefits from the summit in terms of employment and the development opportunities in various sectors in the state. He also added that the investors are now showing confidence in investing.
CM Adityanath welcomed Mr. Modi and the big industrialists of the country to the summit and appreciate their presence in 2018 investors’ summit.
PM, Modi in a speech during the summit applauds the Uttar Pradesh government for being a leader in sugarcane, potato, and milk production. Modi added that the 4P’s including Potential, Policy, Planning, and Performance is in progress.
PM, Modi said, MSME- Micro Small and Medium Enterprises contributed a lot in boosting up the state economy. He said after the agriculture sector, MSME’s are the one who opened the highest opportunities in terms of employment in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the reports, Adani Group announced the investment of Rs. 35,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh in different sectors. Gautam Adani, the chairman of Adani Group, said the group is looking forward to invest in solar power, logistics, agriculture, road, and energy sectors.
Adani said during summit “We will stand with you in your journey of transforming Uttar Pradesh,”
Kumar Mangalam Birla said they are planning to invest around 25,000 crores in Uttar Pradesh in the near future.
Reliance industrialist Mukesh Ambani also addresses the summit and marked Jio as one of the big investors in Uttar Pradesh with the investment of Rs. 20,000 crore. He also added that they are planning to reach to every single village if Uttar Pradesh by the end of this year.
Mukesh Ambani also raised the point of Namami Gange Project and also confirmed the key role of Reliance foundations in the project.
Tata Group Chairman, N Chandrasekaran said the Tata group has a great presence in Uttar Presence and wants to invest more in the multiple sectors including digital, infrastructure and real estate. He also made the announcement to open an IT centre in Varanasi.
The state government received many investment announcements by the business leaders in day one of the investors’ summit also expecting the same response in day two as well from the investors for the further growth and development of the state in multiple sectors.
