On Sunday late night, petrol price increased by 42 paise per litre whereas diesel price was hiked by Rs 1.03 per litre , excluding state levies.
This is the fourth hike in petrol price in past six weeks and the second increase in a fortnight in case of diesel.
Revised rates were effective from last midnight.
After this modification of price petrol in Delhi will cost Rs 71.13 a litre as against ₹70.60 currently. Similarly, diesel will cost at Rs 59.02 as earlier it costs Rs 57.82.
Revised price has been announced by IOC (Indian Oil Cooperation) after the intervention with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited.
