Snapdeal’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Anup Vikal has allegedly resigned from his post on Tuesday.
The resignation of the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Anup Vikal came two months after snapdeal called off the merger with Flipkart.
Kunal Bahl, Snapdeal’s Chief Executive Officer said in a statement, “Anup has done sterling work at Snapdeal, building high levels of governance and helping structure various transactions of importance for the company”.
Adding further to this he said, “He has led the finance function with distinction, contributing immensely in furthering the profitability initiatives of Snapdeal, which the deep bench of Snapdeal’s finance team will continue”.
It was also discovered that the Chief Financial Officer Anup Vikal resignation came after the private sector Axis Bank announced its acquisition with the leading e-commerce company Snapdeal’s mobile payments wallet provider Freecharge in July this year for around Rs 385 crore ($60.04 million).
The business heads of FMCG and general merchandise divisions Digvijay Ghosh and Rahul Jain has also resigned from their position.
It was reported that the Snapdeal’s Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel Anup Vikal joined the company in October 2015.
A report says, before joining Snapdeal he was working with the InterGlobe Enterprises as CFO and head of IT and strategy.
