Nawazuddin Siddiqui was born on May 19, 1974, in Budhana village, Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district. He grew in a big joint family of farmers along with his nine siblings.
During his childhood days, he used to watch village carnivals and folk performances which developed his passion towards acting.
Siddiqui completed his graduation from Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar in Bachelors of Science (Chemistry).
After his graduation, he headed towards Delhi with hopes and took admission to the famous The National School of Drama (NSD) to achieve his aim.
During his early days of struggling to meet basic amenities of living, Siddiqui worked as a chemist and then as a watchman.
Later he moved to Mumbai, where the dark skin color actor witnessed the biggest struggle of his life to become what he dreamt of.
At an early age, he got married to Anjali Siddiqui and they are proud parents of two children.
In 1999, Siddiqui made his entry to Indian film industry with a small role in Aamir Khan Starrer ‘Sarfarosh’.Afterward, he also tried to work in small screen but didn’t receive much appreciation. Later he got small roles in several movies including Munnabhai MBBS, DevD, Black Friday, Kahaani, Kick and so on.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui comes into the limelight with his impressive acting in Gangs of Wasseypur.
The year 2015 proved to be exhilarating for Siddiqui, as his role in films Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Manjhi – The Mountain Man was praised across the world.
This year he appeared in a film based in Gujarat, named, Haraamkhor and for his fabulous performance, he was awarded as the Best Actor at the New York Indian Film Festival.
However, Siddiqui is known for his realistic acting which makes him different from other Bollywood actors.
