44th World Book Fair to begin from Saturday

The much awaited moment for the all the book lovers has arrived in the heart of the capital also, it is the largest event of its kind in the country which will start from Saturday at the Pragati Maidan.

The book fair is hosted at the Pragati Maidan which will run from 7 January 2017 to 15th January 2017. The tickets for the fair will be made available at 48 metro stations.

DMRC said in a statement, “Tickets for the World Book Fair will be available for sale at 48 metro stations, few of them have dedicated counters”.

The 44th edition of the event theme is “Manushi” which is especially focusing on the women writers. It is the nine-day long event which has been organized by the ‘National Book Trust’ taking help of the India Trade Promotion Organization which is especially focusing on the writings of the women writers.

DMRC said in a statement, “Tickets for the World Book Fair will be available for sale at 48 metro stations, few of them have dedicated counters”.

A DMRC official said that, “The tickets for the upcoming book fair will be sold from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (January 7-15) at 48 selected metro stations. Ticket sale timing from the Pragati Maidan station is from 10.00 AM to 5:00 PM”.

The World Book Fair will be inaugurated by Mahendra Nath Pandey, Ministry of Human Resource Development.

The timing of the fair will commence from 11 AM to 8 PM on January 7-14 and on January 15 the event will start from 11 AM to 5 PM. The cost of the tickets for an adult is Rs 30 and for kids is 20.
