8-year-old girl made India proud, after winning Gold Medal in Kickboxing Championship

An eight-year-old girl has again made the country proud by winning Gold Medal in Kickboxing Championship which took place in Italy. Tajamul Islam from Kashmir is the first Indian girl from sub-junior category to walk away with Gold Medal in the Championship which was held in Andria, Italy.

In five days, Tajamul Islam won six games,” said her coach Fasil Ali. A class 2nd girl represented the country in Italy in which 90 countries participated and she managed to grab the medal after winning the championship title. Tajamul is the first girl from Kashmir valley to accomplish this title.

“She has created history by winning Gold Medal in the game at an age of eight,” said PDP leader Waheed Parra. Tajamul defeated her rival team from US to win the title.

Last year also, Tajamul had won a Gold Medal in Kickboxing Championship which was held in New Delhi. Tajamul Islam is a 2nd class student of Army Goodwill School in Bandipora district, 65 Km away from Srinagar.
