According to sources, Prime Minister Modi in a Parliamentary party meet said that the details of the bank account have to be submitted to Party President Amit Shah.

He further said, that the main objective to take this step is to use the money for the welfare of the poor instead of turning black into white.

Previously on November 8, Prime Minister Modi had thrown masterstroke by demolishing Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes and urged people that December 30 will be the deadline for submitting old currency notes.

Earlier on Monday, this week Government has introduced the Income Tax Amendment Bill in the Parliament in context for the people to declare their black money.

The Government on Monday proposed a total tax, punishment and additional charge of 50 percent on every amount submitted post demonetization; while higher taxes up to 85 percent to be imposed on those who till the time have not unveil their black money but got trapped.

Parliamentary Affair Minister, Ananth Kumar told the media, “The PM described the move as a fight against black money and said it is for the welfare of poor”.

He further added that Prime Minister is trying to make the country a cashless society and thus seeking the support of the people.
