Kashmiri Student, Suhail Aijaz, studying at AIIMS Bhubaneswar has gone missing since February 9.
Suhail Aijaz, who informed his friends about attending a friend’s marriage in Chandigarh and left the hostel on February 9, afternoon, did not returned back.
According to the institute authorities, Aijaz mentioned his friends that he would return on February 16 but, did not returned on the given date after which his classmates informed about his absence to the college authorities.
College authorities filed a missing complaint with the police and also, informed his father about his missing child.
Suhail, who belongs to Kashmir, was MBBS-second year student in AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
According to the vice-dean of the institute, the college authorities had recovered a letter from Suhail’s room which he wrote to his father & friends confessing about his feelings and mentioned that he was sorry for not meeting their expectations.
The institute officials said, the letter has been handed over to the police for the further investigations also; they are contributing the NIA and IB officers in the investigation.
According to the police officials, his phone was last tracked at Kolkata after which it was switched off.
Suhail’s father, who is a school teacher in Kupwara reached Bhubaneswar and contributing the police in search of his son. He also informed the police that Suhail’s asked his brother not to call him for three to four days as he is giving his phone for repair but, when the family did not received any calls for many days then, they tried to contact him but his phone was coming switched off.
Suhail’s father, Aijaz Ahmed, asked the police to check out the call records of his son.
Suhail’s friend said he was not happy studying “Medicine” and wanted to shift to humanities after completing his MBBS while his father said they never pressurize his child to study “Medicine”
Police had already registered a missing complaint which was lodged by the institute authorities and investigating further to search Suhail.
