A protest by residents of Ajnara Homes Noida Extension took an unexpected turn on Saturday, when goons and three security guards barged into the society premises thrashed resident, for holding protests demanding basic facilities. The incident took place on Saturday morning and police have arrested two security guards of the society in this regard.
According to the sources, 50-60 residents were protesting against the builders inside the premises of the society, when a few goons hired by a developer and three security guards emerged, and told them to stop the demonstration. When they refused, the goons snatched the banners from their hands, roughed them up and used foul language. Several residents were injured but discharged after first-aid.
The drama continued for few minutes, after which the goons fled. Residents alleged the goons were hired by the builder.
Residents then took the matter to the Bisrakh police, lodging an FIR against the three guards and the unidentified men.
Gaurav Gupta, a resident of Ajnara Homes, told that the builder had faltered on providing basic facilities, such as proper security and CCTV cameras.
“Even the firefighting system is not operational, let alone the swimming pool and the club. On top of this, the builder has already taken two years’ advanced maintenance charges from us residents at Rs 7 per sq ft,” he said.
Residents also said that the builder had not given them completion or occupancy certificates, due to which they had not been able to register their flats. There are more than 150 families living in the society at present.
Ajay Sharma, SO of Bisrakh police station, said that investigation into the case was under way. According to the police, the accused security guards have been identified as Sudhir Chaudhary and Ravinder Kumar.
