Amarnath terror attack: Pilgrims killed after terrorists opened fire on bus

At least seven pilgrims were killed and nineteen others were reported injured after terrorists opened fire on a bus which was returning from the Amarnath shrine.

It was reported that the terrorists opened fire on a bus which was carrying pilgrims who were returning from the holy shrine Amarnath on Monday evening.

The incident took place at around 8:30 pm.

Following the attack, Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries declared a shutdown in the valley.

Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said in a statement, “This is an assault on our values and traditions which we hold dear. We will leave no stone unturned to root out the perpetrators of this heinous crime”.

The Ex-Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir moved to the Twitter and condemned the attack by tweeting, “Very sad news. The attack cannot be condemned strongly enough. My sympathies to the families & prayers for the injured”.
