Army’s Cheetah chopper crashes in West Bengal, 3 army officers killed

According to sources, three Army officers lost their life as Army’s Cheetah chopper was reported crashed near Sukna in West Bengal.

Army’s Eastern Command said, “Army Cheetah helicopter crashed at Sukna at around 11.45 am today. Three officers killed. One injured evacuated”.

If reports are to be believed, three officers died on the spot, while Junior commissioned officer (JCO) was evacuated and reported was admitted to the hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Wing Commander SS Birdi further added, “Three officers died in the crash. The condition of the Junior commissioned officer (JCO) is critical. An inquiry has been ordered. It was a routine mission operating from Sukna and the crash happened when the chopper was about to land. Crash site is inside Sukna military base, near the helipad”.

According to reports, the further inquiry has been requested into the occurrence.
