Babri Masjid demolition case: charges revived against Advani and other BJP Leaders

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court of India restores Conspiracy Charges against LK Advani , Uma Bharti and Others in Babri masjid demolition case and ordered to face trail.

A bench of Justice PC Ghose and Justice RF Nariman also ordered daily hearings and directed Lucknow’s  CBI Court to complete the trail within the next two years.

LK Advani, and other BJP top leaders like Uma Bharti, Murli Manohar Joshi, charged for making inflammatory speeches that provoked number of right-wing volunteers or karsevaks to demolish the mosque on December 6, 1992.

However, Kalyan Singh, who was Uttar Pradesh chief Minister in 1992, can only be tried after completing his term as Governor of Rajasthan.
