Bengaluru: Ola driver attacks passenger with rod

Over a quarrel which took place between the Ola driver and a passenger for the air-conditioner in the car turned ugly in a fraction of seconds after the Ola driver hits the passenger on his head with an iron rod in Bengaluru.

The incident reportedly took place near Forest Guest House on CV Raman Road.

A police officer told the national daily, “We’ve issued a notice to the Ola office in Vyalikaval, central Bengaluru”.

It was learned that the cab was heading towards Forest Guest House on CV Raman Road Keshava’s friend Janardhan urged him to switch off the A.C following the chilly weather in the morning.

The businessman was identified as G Keshava Reddy who hails from Hyderabad, has filed a complaint against the Ola driver to the Sadashivanagar police following the incident.

The accused has been identified by the police as Syed Arif, who fled from the situation.

It was reported that the victim visited Bengaluru for attending a meeting with friends for a discussion to open a food chain in the city.

The businessman told the media in a statement, “Since the drive was busy, I learned to turn off the AC. At that point, the driver suddenly became violent, brazenly pushed my hand away from the AC console, and slapped me”.
