Two ministers from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) submitted their resignations to the Andhra’s CMO today amid a declining relationship between the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the BJP.

The ministers to have submitted the resignation are Kamineni Srinivas, State health minister, and Pydikondala Manikyala Rao, State endowment minister in the C. Naidu’s cabinet. The charges were given to the BJP MLAs as a coalition partner.

However, the ministers seemed to praise the Chief Minister. They also defended BJP leadership.

Kamineni opined that he worked very hard in the development of the state. In a statement, he said, “I have earned a lot of friends cutting across the party lines during my tenure and will continue the same hereafter too.” While Manikyalarao offered same views. He added,” Though there have been some political disturbances, all the clouds will be cleared very soon and people will realize the facts.”

Earlier, PVN Madhav, Leader of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) had stated,” Our ministers will resign from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Cabinet.”

Madhav also went on to say,” We have decided that our ministers will resign from TDP Cabinet. We will be going to the people and telling all the things Centre has done for the state. Since independence till date, no state has not received as many favors as that were given to Andhra Pradesh.”

“We consider Andhra as a special state and has provided it with all development that was needed to be done in all factors. Also, the moment our minister comes out of the cabinet we will break the news to all,” he added.

He further noted that there was no injustice done to the state by the Centre but related to other things.

The statements came hours after Chief Minister NC Naidu asked the TDP ministers to resign from the Union Cabinet.
