Blue Whale game: Court issued notice over the killer game

As per the recent reports, The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued a notice to the Central and State Secretaries of IT after hearing a (PIL) over the online killer game The Blue Whale challenge.

The next hearing is scheduled on September 18.

Hitesh Kaplish, advocate said in a statement, “The court today issued the notice to the Union ministry of Home Affairs, the ministry of Telecommunications, Punjab, Haryana and Union Territory Chandigarh”.

In the recent development, the PIL was filed by Shiv Shankar Mohanty.

It was reported that the killer game has been created by Phillipe Budeikin, who is a Russian psychology student.

The online killer game has taken many lives, officials said.

The ministry said in its statement, “Instances of children committing suicide while Blue Whale Challenge have been reported in India…You are hereby requested to ensure that any such link of this deadly game in its own name or similar game is immediately removed from your platform”.

Ever since the game debuted, the suicide news among the teenagers and youth has been increasing with a growing speed.

In recent past, an engineering student was rescued by the police who was allegedly committing suicide in Ralaba village in Hinjili.
