BSF seizes fake Rs 2,000 notes amounting to Rs 96,000 from India-Bangladesh International Border

On Monday, Border Security Forces (BSF) officials recovered Rs 2,000 fake denomination notes near International Border with Bangladesh.

The 32-year-old, Sharif ul Shah, has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the smuggling of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) amounting Rs 96,000.

This comes after a couple of days, when another seizure of fake currency notes worth Rs 2,00,000 was made from Azizur Rahman at India-Bangladesh International Border on February 8.

Rahman was carrying 40 fake notes of Rs 2,000 denomination. It was also reported that notes had been printed in Pakistan, with the help of  Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and had been smuggled across the India-Bangladesh International Border.
