CBI arrested Former ED joint director JD Singh and three others in corruption case

On Tuesday, The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested ex- Enforcement Directorate (ED) JP Singh along with Assistant Director Sanjay Agarwal and two other officials in corruption case.  (Published)

JP Singh is a 2000-batch Indian Revenue Service officer of the Customs and Excise wing was being investigated by CBI on the basis of a complaint registered by the Ministry of Finance and ED officials.

The CBI has accused all these officers as they were allegedly involved in money laundry in cricket betting racket and surat hawala case.

The case has been lodged under the charges of criminal conspiracy as mentioned in Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Corruption Act.
