Chandigarh: School Bus Collides with Punjab Roadways, 10-Year-old boy Killed

A 10-Year-Old boy killed when Punjab Roadways hit St. Joseph’s Sr. Secondary school bus In Chandigarh.

The whole incident took place on Kharar-Morinda road on Monday morning around 7:15 am when students were on their way to the school. There were around 10 students injured and 1 boy was killed in the tragic accident.

According to the Police, the school driver was taking the right to the street from the highway to pick up two students from GBP Society and while taking right, he gave the proper signal also showed his hand outside to the roadways driver, but the roadways driver who was coming from the opposite side did not stop and hit the school bus from the back.

Eyewitnesses said the roadways driver was driving the bus at its full speed and hit the bus. Also, the seated passenger in the roadways bus came outside and started beating the school driver Dharminder Sharma for his negligence. They also added the roadways driver Balbir Singh fled away after the accident and left it vehicle behind.

A 10-year-old boy who has been killed in this tragic accident is identified as Samarth Sachdeva who was studying in class 4 of St. Joseph Sr. Secondary School, Chandigarh sector-44.

Samarth sister Kashish Sachdeva, 13 also has been injured and got 3 stitches in her right ear.

According to the Police, the FIR has been registered against the roadways driver under relevant sections of negligence and speed driving.
