Chennai: Girls commit suicide, students go on rampage

A massive violence broke out in the campus of Sathyabama University after an engineering student allegedly committed suicide in her hostel room in Chennai.

The student was identified as Radha Mounika, who hails from Hyderabad and was pursuing Computer Engineering from Sathyabama University in Chennai.

Authorities told the officials, the girl was studying in the first year.

It was learned that the girl was found hanging in her hostel room.

It was reported that the varsity officials have barred her from writing exams after she was caught in a malpractice in one of the exams.

The girl even left a suicide note which reads, “Love You All. Miss You All”.

Following this, the students of Sathyabama University has reportedly claimed that Radha Mounika was a brilliant student and she could not commit any malpractice.

Students at Sathyabama University have gone on a rampage and set hostel properties on fire.

A police official said in a statement, “The management has declared a holiday for a month. The situation is under control”.

In a recent development to this, the varsity has declared vacations until 2 January.
