Civilian injured in Pakistan ceasefire

As per the reports, a woman was reportedly injured after Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire targeting the Indian posts in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

“The shelling and firing started at 4.15 a.m. The Indian Army is strongly and effectively responding to Pakistan”, an official said.

It was reported that 35-year-old woman, who was later identified as Naseem Akhtar suffers severe injuries in the ceasefire on Friday afternoon.

Following the ceasefire, a water tanker was also damaged by the Pakistan Army.

Defence spokesman said in a statement, “The Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing from small arms, automatic weapons and mortars from 0415 hours on Indian Army posts along the LoC in Bhimbher Gali (BG) sector”.
