Class 12 accountancy paper of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) leaked on social media twelve to fourteen hours ahead of board examination on Thursday.
Manish Sisodia, Delhi Education Minister confirmed the leaked that accountancy question papers were exchanged on Whatsapp since last evening. It matches set II of the CBSE paper.
The Minister received it on Whatsapp and it was cross-checked.
A source said that the paper is doing rounds on several platforms of social media. The source of the message has been allegedly traced to Rohini area in Delhi.
CBSE issued a statement denying any paper leak in the early hours today. It said,” there has been no leakage of the question paper. All the seals have been found intact at the Exam centers.”
“During the process of examination, however, at local level, some miscreants have tried to play mischief by circulating messages through Whatsapp and other social media to disturb the sanctity of examinations.”
CBSE added that it will lodge an FIR to take strict actions against such acts.
When the media compared the leaked copies in social media, it matched the original question papers that were given to the students during the examination that took place today.
An official told the media,” “Impossible for a student to leak it without inside assistance. Board papers are kept with utmost security and top officials and teachers are aware of it. We’re looking into it as a top priority.”
According to CBSE, at least 28 lakh students are taking part in class 10 and 12 board exams conducted by CBSE since March 5. 16, 38, 428 students registered for class X examination while 11, 86. 306 students are involved in class XII examination.
The class 10 examination reintroduced this year. Earlier the Govt had adopted Comprehensive and Continous Evaluation (CCE).
