Defamation case filed against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal

Essel Group Chairman Dr. Subhash Chandra who is also a member of Rajya Sabha from BJP has filed a Criminal Defamation case against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday in Patiala House court.

In the plea, Dr.Subhash Chandra said, “While addressing a Press Conference on November 11 Kejriwal had made false allegations on him”.

The petition has been filed under section 500(defamation) of Indian Penal Code and if Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal found guilty then he can be imprisoned for two years.

Dr. Chandra has filed the complaint which says, “Without any lawful basis or justification, dragged his name in the entire facade, which has defamed and lowered his reputation in the eyes of general public”.

Dr. Subhash Chandra took help of social media to announce that he had filed a defamation case against Arvind Kejriwal.

According to the reports, the hearing will be held on Friday.

According to Dr.Subhash Chandra, Delhi Chief Minister fails to understand that he is now on a constitutional position and not just a politician. Arvind Kejriwal claims to be an “anarchist” but that doesn’t mean he won’t respect law of the land.
