Delhi: 6 coaches of Manduadih Express derail at New Delhi Railway Station

As per the recent reports, six coaches of the New Delhi-Varanasi Manduadih Express reportedly derailed at the New Delhi Railway station.

It was reported that all the six the coaches were replaced with the departure was rescheduled to 1 am on Friday.

Northern Railway official said in a statement, “The incident took place at around 10.30 pm on Thursday when the train was about to depart from New Delhi”.

Reports say the derailment took place at platform 12 of the New Delhi Railway Station.

It was reported that due to the train derailment the New Delhi Railway Station was affected by rail traffic on the route and caused delays by three hours.

It was further added, “The reason for the derailment is not clear yet. An inquiry has been ordered”.

An official said that the coaches which reportedly derailed were AC coach, three sleepers, one general and one inspection coach.

However, no casualties have been reported so far.
