In less than a week’s time, several people were killed in Mumbai after a century old building collapsed. As per the recent reports, a similar incident hit Delhi after a three-storey building collapsed in central Delhi’s Sadar Bazar on Friday.
It was reported that eight fire tenders have been rushed to the spot for the rescue operation.
A senior Delhi Fire Services official told the media, “As soon as we received a call that building has collapsed near New Delhi railway station in Pan Mandi area of central Delhi’s Sadar Bazar at around 5.20 p.m. seven fire tenders were rushed to the spot”.
It was learned that at least 2 persons have been reported injured in the mishap which took place in Sadar Bazar.
Police officials said in a statement, “The ground floor of the building had a couple of shops and the other floors were used to store merchandise”.
The building was used as a Godown which has been collapsed following the heavy rain in the city.
However, the Fire brigade was rushed to the spot and the relief and rescue operation is underway.
