Delhi: Cops received bomb threat in Khan Market

As per the recent reports, a bomb threat was reportedly received by the Delhi Police in Delhi’s posh Khan Market area in the wee hours of Friday morning.

Following this, bomb disposal team and a dog squad were rushed to the spot.

Police official has said in a statement that after the call was received, the security has been tightened and searches will continue all day.

Deputy Commissioner of Police B.K Singh said in a statement, “The call originated from outside the New Delhi district. We are verifying the facts”.

It was reported that the Khan Market has always remained as one of the world’s costliest retail shopping destination.

It was further added, “All required steps as per standard bomb threat drill is underway. However, there is no need for any panic. Nothing suspicious has been found yet”.

In the recent development, Official said that nothing was found in the area.

According to police officer’s statement, caller’s wordings were, “Khan Market mein bomb plant kar diya hai”.

However, no suspicious objects were found in the area.
