A 60-year-old drunk father allegedly killed his 25-year-old son in northwest Delhi’s Bhalswa Dairy on Tuesday night.
The incident took place on Tuesday night around 10.15pm in the Vishwanath puri area of Bhalswa Dairy, when Gyanu (deceased), who worked as a labourer reached his home and started fighting with his father over the drinking habit.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Milind Dumbre said in a statement, “Gyanu, who had consumed alcohol started fighting with his father, Chandrika. Chandrika was sleeping at the moment when Gyau slapped him. In a fit of rage, Chandrika brought a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Gyanu”.
It was reported that Chandrika (Father) often consume alcohol on the daily basis and used to thrash his wife.
Police said that when the argument becomes ugly between the duo, Chandrika went into the kitchen, picked up a sharp knife and stabbed his son Gyanu in the chest.
Although Chandrika works as a scrap dealer and his son used to help him in his business.
