Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung surprisingly resigns

On Thursday, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung submitted his resignation to the Government of India.

 Najeeb Jung was serving as Lieutenant Governor since 2013 and without citing any reasons Jung’s office said he has submitted his resignation to the Centre.

Najeeb Jung, 65, is a 1973 batch IAS officer and ex vice-chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia University.

According to LG office it is believed that he might go back to his first love which is academics.

Mr. jung thanks everyone including PM Narendra Modi for his support, Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal , Delhi’s people and many more.

It is also reported that from the couple of days during his tenure, Mr. Jung has been engaged in a tussle between Centre and Delhi Government.
