Delhi: Mother, daughter locked for 4years rescued by Police

The Delhi Police on Wednesday rescued a mother and her daughter, who was reportedly locked from last four years in Delhi’s southwest Mahavir Enclave area.

It was reported that they were suffering from depression.

The incident was discovered after a resident of A-block at Mahavir Enclave-II took the matter to the Police and local media channel strongly claims that both were forcefully locked inside a room.

The police official told the media, “Clearly their mental condition is unstable. They are undernourished and both weigh not more than 25 kg. We have referred them to IBHAS and will oversee the treatment”.

Mahaveer Mishra, woman’s father-in-law said that both mother and daughter have locked themselves in a room after his son’s death, which took place in a road accident in the year 2013.

Mahaveer Mishra, who is the father-in-law of the woman stayed in the next room and used to feed food to the mother and daughter.
