In a horrific incident, a 25-year-old man was killed by a group of school students in a moving bus on n southeast Delhi’s Mathura Road.
The incident took place at around 3:30 pm on Thursday, where the victim has reportedly checked a pocket of a teen on suspicion of he has stolen his mobile phone.
It was reported that the bus was moving from Punjabi Bagh and heading towards Badarpur border.
Romil Baaniya, Deputy Commissioner of Police said in a statement, “According to witnesses, the unidentified victim boarded the bus at Lajpat Nagar. When the bus reached Ashram Chowk, the teenagers aged 13 to 16 and in school uniform got in”.
Police official told the media that when the bus reached Ashram Chowk, some school student gets in.
Following this, the victim reportedly made alarm of his stolen mobile phone and alleged the teenagers behind the act.
One of the boys reportedly slit the man’s throat and escaped from the spot.
Adding further to this he said, “The victim alleged that his mobile phone was stolen by the teenagers, leading to an altercation following which one boy slit the man’s throat. They escaped after threatening the driver. The man received a single wound and was declared brought dead in a hospital”.
