In a horrific incident, a two-year-old boy allegedly died after he reportedly fell into a bucket of water in Northwest Delhi’s Wazirpur area.

It was reported that the incident took place while the boy was playing in his house in Northwest Delhi’s Wazirpur area.

A senior police officer said in a statement, “The deceased identified as Aditya was left in the care of his father while his mother had gone out on an errand. While Aditya’s father was fast asleep in the house, the child somehow managed to walk out of the room. There was a platform from which Aditya fell into a bucket of water kept near the gate of the house”.

The incident came to light when boy’s aunt who lives nearby spotted the child in the bucket.

Following this, the boy was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Aslam Khan, Deputy Commissioner of Police said in a statement, “Information was received from Wazirpur village that a two-year-old boy Aditya died due to drowning in a bucket full of water at around 5 pm”.
