In a horrific incident, a 60-year-old was reportedly arrested for man sexually assaulting two minors in south-west Delhi.
The incident was reported from Delhi’s Palam area, an official said.
Police officials have identified the accused as Mohammad Jainul.
The official told the media, the minors were reported to be aged 5 and 9 years.
It was reported that the accused reportedly took the minors to his rented flat where he allegedly sexually assaulted them and offered them chocolates and Rs 5 and told them to not tell anyone.
It was learned that the incident came to light late Sunday evening when one of the victims started crying at her residence.
Following this, when victim’s mother asked her the reason, she narrated the whole the ordeal.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West) Milind Mahadeo Dumbere said in a statement, “He took both the girls to his house and assaulted them in front of one another. Before he let them off he warned them not to tell anyone about the assault and handed them over Rs 5. The two then went home”.
However, a case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
