A 25-year-old man who works as a private driver allegedly killed his lover to marry another woman within a gap of 24 hours. The accused, Narendra God is a resident of a Bujilapur village in Hyderabad. The police have nabbed him and have started to question him.
Bhargavi is the deceased in the case who worked as a receptionist at a hospital in Hyderabad. Her parents approached the police on Monday after she went missing.
N Srinivas, Inspector of Ramannapet Circle police station,” The accused and Bhargavi were in a relationship. His marriage was fixed for March 4 (Sunday).
Bhargavi called him when she came to know about his marriage. It was then Narendra asked her to meet at his village.
The Inspector went to say that “Bhargavi went to meet him on Saturday. He took her to an agricultural field in Bujilapur village. We are still investigating how did he killed her. So far, he said they picked an argument, and he pushed her. She fell and her head hit a rock. He panicked and tried to hide the body (on Saturday).”
“Bhargavi called her sister on Saturday, before meeting the accused, and told her about her affair with him. He initially denied being friends with the deceased, later after questioning, we found his involvement,” added Inspector Srinivas.
The police recovered the body on Tuesday. It was shifted to a government hospital for autopsy. Initially the police registered a missing case but later on, it changed to section 302 (Punishment for Murder) of IPC.
