E-Rickshaw driver beaten to death for stopping students from peeing in public

In a horrific incident, it was observed that a 33-year-old, e-Rickshaw driver was brutally beaten to death after he had stopped two students from urinating in the public at north-west Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar.

The incident took place on Sunday night around 8 pm near GTB nagar Metro Station. The victim was identified as Ravinder (33), a resident of the Kishore Market area was attacked by a large group with iron knuckles and towels filled with stones.

It was reported that when Kumar was parking his e-rickshaw on the roadside, where he tries to stop the youth not to urinate as he along with his associates sit at that corner have lunch every day.

In a statement Milind Dumbere, DCP said, “Ravinder was fed up of this and told them that their habit led to bad smell and poor hygiene in the area”.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu expressing his concern on the matter tweeted, “He was promoting Swachh Bharat. I spoke to the police commissioner and asked him to take the strongest action possible against the culprits”.
