A Delhi Court has started its proceedings to declare the business tycoon Vijay Mallya an absconder in connection with the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act (FERA) violation case on Wednesday.
It was reported that the Delhi Court has given the businessman the opportunity by December 18.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) allegedly approached the Patiala House Court to declare the businessman a proclaimed offender.
It was learned that in April, the Delhi Court has issued an open-ended (no time limit) non-bailable warrant against Mallya.
In the recent development, it would be the sixth non-bailable arrest warrant issued against the businessman.
