Former Defence Minister A.K. Antony suffers minor brain haemorrhage, hospitalised

Former Defence minister A K Antony has reportedly suffered a minor brain haemorrhage, where he was immediately admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi.

It was reported that the 76-year-old Congress leader was the defence minister during the UPA government.

The Congress leader was admitted to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

He has served as a Defence minister for more than seven years, which is believed to be the longest for an Indian Defence minister.

The doctor said in a statement, “He was brought to the hospital in the afternoon and is currently admitted. There is nothing to worry as it was a minor brain haemorrhage”.

A.K. Antony has also served as Kerala Chief Minister for three times.

Doctors told the media that the political leader will remain in the hospital for the next two-three days after which he will be discharged.
