A 25-year-old gangster shot dead in the Greater Noida area by the police on Monday night.
The criminal has been identified as Sanjay, who was the resident of Haryana and was in Police wanted list. The police kept Rs. 25000 as reward money on Sanjay for giving his information as he was hiding for years from the police.
Sanjay was involved in more than 30 crimes in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Haryana and was the member of the Mukeem Kala gang.
According to the police, they received the information around 10 pm from the sources on Monday night regarding the presence of Sanjay and his associates near Sigma IV in the Greater Noida area, after which the local police initiated the operations with the help of anti-extortion cell and special operations group to chase the criminals and put their phone on surveillance to trace the exact location.
During checking, the police detects both the suspects on a two-wheeler after which the Police asked them to stop, but in return they started open firing and in return the police also did the firing to catch both the gangsters from the spot, but unfortunately, Sanjay associate fled away but police spotted Sanjay successfully after firing him on the chest.
Sanjay was admitted to the district hospital by the police as he received the bullet in his chest, but he died.
SHO, Ajay Kumar Sharma said, they conducted the postmortem of the body after which they called the Sanjay’s family to take the body but the family refused to take his body.
He also informed the Media that during the exchange of firing with the gangsters, the two policemen, including Sachin Giri and Vinay Ujjwal were also injured but they both are out of danger.
