In a shocking incident, a 54-year-old builder was allegedly shot dead by unidentified bike-borne assailants outside his office in the Shalimar Garden area of Sahibabad.
The incident took place at around 4:30 pm in Khosla Apartments of Shalimar Garden Extension II.
The victim has been identified as Surendra Pal Singh, police officials said.
SP, City Akash Tomar said in a statement, “A team of competent police officers has been formed to nab the criminals. Primarily, it seems a murder due to some land dispute, but a final outcome could be drawn only after the investigation is concluded”.
Following the incident, Surendra Pal Singh was rushed to the Yashoda Hospital in Kaushambi.
Soon after the incident, assailants fled from the spot.
It was reported that Surendra Pal Singh’s family has alleged three men – Sarfaraz, Rajender, and Aamir in connection with the case.
It was believed that all three suspects are property dealers in Sahibabad.
Following this, an FIR has been registered against all three suspects Sarfaraz, Rajender and Aamir under the IPC section 307 (attempt to murder).
