Gujarat: CM Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel resigns

As per the recent reports, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel reportedly resigned on Thursday.

The resign comes three days after BJP defeated Congress in the Assembly elections 2017 and retain the power in the state.

Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said in a statement, “We will have a meeting of the newly elected members of the House”.

It was reported that the Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel has allegedly sent their resignations to Governor O.P. Kohli.

It was further added, “After the meeting of MLAs and after consultation with the observers for Gujarat, we will be deciding the names of the cabinet ministers and who will lead the government”.
