Gurugram: IIT techie commits suicide, jumps off from 23rd floor of building

In a shocking incident, a 26-year-old IIT graduate allegedly commits suicide from the 23rd floor of DLF Magnolias in Sector 42 in the wee hours of Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Ankit Wadhwa, who hails from Rajasthan, has come to Gurugram to pursue his Master of Business Administration degree where he was staying with his uncle in DLF upscale Magnolias.

The incident was discovered when the security guard found Wadhwa’s body in the pool of blood.

Wadhwa allegedly commits suicide in the late Sunday night.

The police official said in a statement, “Initial investigation suggested that Wadhwa was suffering from acute depression following which he took such an extreme step. It was also found that he was not satisfied with his current job profile. He was grappling with depression from last 16 months”.

It was reported that the boy went inside his room around 10:30 puma after having his dinner. Hours after he was found dead on the ground floor.

Adding further to this he said, “However, his colleagues told us that he was planning to pursue higher studies and was about to sit for an entrance examination in a management institute”.

Although, no suicide note has been discovered from the area.

However, the police officials are still investigating into the matter.
