Helicopter crashes near Aarey Colony in Mumbai, 2 dead other 3 injured

According to reports, a helicopter crashed and burst into flames near Royal Palms in Aarey Colony which is located near Goregaon in Mumbai on Sunday.

It is said that the chopper crashed in an isolated spot, in an open ground which is likewise considered as a green belt in Goregaon.

Fire brigade official told the reporters, “Three fire engines and ambulances were rushed to the spot as soon as we are informed about the mishap. The fire has been doused”.

According to sources, one person died on the spot where on the other hand three other were reportedly got injured and were rushed to the hospital for medical assistance.

According to officials, “the preliminary investigation revealed that fire was noticed in the helicopter while it was in air following which it was forced to crash land on an open ground in Aarey Colony”.

In a recent update it is said that two people including pilot have been announced as dead and other two are in a critical stage.

According to agencies, “the 1992 made ‘Robinson R44’, which was originally with Pawan Hans, was later sold to a private aviation company which used it for joy ride after repairing it”.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kiran Kumar Chavan said in a statement that, “One dead, three injured in Goregaon helicopter crash. Injured being treated in hospital. Investigation underway”.

However, currently police officers are investigating in the matter.
