“I Don’t Want To Expand into Poor Countries like India” Says Snapchat CEO

Approximately 4 million Indians use Snapchat on a daily basis, but the CEO of Snapchat, Evan Spiegel, believes that India is a poor country and he is not interested to expand into deprived countries.

Spiegel remark is highly offended and condemned by people across the country. Although, people started boycotting Snapchat and began #BoycottSnapchat #StopUsingSnapChat campaigns on twitter.

According to a report by American website Variety, Anthony Pompliano, the ex – employee of snapchat, revealed that Spiegel he was against escalating his business in poor countries like India and Spain as snapchat was “too rich for them”.

Pompliano, claimed that spegel’s stated this during the annual meeting in 2015.

Anthony Pompliano has filed a lawsuit against snapchat and has accused the company for providing imprecise information to investors and deliberately misleading them.
