Indian scientist Professor Yash Pal dies at 90

Renowned Indian scientist and Professor Yash Pal reportedly died at his residence in Noida, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.

It was reported that renowned Professor Yash Pal died at the Max Hospital in Noida.

Indian scientist and Professor Yash Pal has served as the chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC) from  1986 to 1991.

Indian scientist Yash Pal was awarded by the India’s second highest civilian honor of Padma Vibhushan in the year 2013.

In the year 2009, Pal was honored by Kalinga Prize which was given by the UNESCO for the popularization of science.
