A case against a mother from East Delhi’s Geeta Colony has been booked for allegedly thrashing, kicking his 18 months old son. The whole act was caught on the CCTV camera.
The complaint is booked under Juvenile Justice Act and IPC Section 323 against the 28-year-old woman.
The CCTV camera was installed by her mother-in-law. According to her mother-in-law, the woman was reportedly beating his son from a long time. After seeing such incidents in-laws of the women finally decided to take the incident in the video and after that they approached the Delhi commission of women.
After listening to the whole incident the Delhi Police has filed a complaint against the woman.
Toddler’s grandmother said, “My son has been married to this woman for three years and they have three children. She has been beating all her children and husband. We did not have any evidence. We recorded her actions on the camera and approached the DCW”.
Omvir Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police said in a statement, “We have filed a FIR. The accused has filed an investigation has been initiated”.
The Grandmother told the reporters that whenever the women get angry she used to beats her child. Adding further to this she said, “If we try to stop her, she says she is free to do whatever she wants with her son. She also threatens to report us to the police and get us jailed on false charges”.
A neighbor of the accused had also said in a statement that, the woman used to beat her children and husband too.
Whereas, DCW Chief Swati Maliwal wrote to the SHO of Geeta Colony, “The child has been produced before the Child Welfare Committee and placed under protection. His custody has been handed over to his aunt”.
