The prime focus which is gaining the eyeballs of almost every citizen is the ongoing protest against the ban on bull-taming sports “Jallikattu” which has now reached the capital of the nation on Thursday.
The former Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss who was seeking for an appointment with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in favor of the popular sport which is gaining huge popularity these days has been detained after he conducted a dharna outside the Prime Minister Modi’s residence on Thursday.
PMK MP Anbumani Ramadoss was arrested by the Delhi Police after he sat outside the Prime Minister’s residence after he was denied for the appointment with the PM.
In a statement, Ramadoss said, “Prime Minister refuses to meet me. I don’t have any other way but to sit outside his house till he meets me”.
However, many groups of students were gathered outside the Tamil Nadu Bhawan in New Delhi and protested against the controversial sports Jallikattu Ban.
Meanwhile, as the protests over the bull taming sports Jallikattu Ban is growing day by day demanding the removal of the ban, the supreme court on Friday has agreed to not to pass any judgment for a week after the Centre’s suggestion.
Attorney-General Mukul Rohatgi told the court, “The Centre and the state are in talks to find a way out in the matter and our request is that the court should not deliver the judgment for at least a week”.
Although, earlier the supreme court in its order has banned the controversial sport by terming it as the ‘cruelty’ to the animal.
