Numbers of opposition parties are participated in ‘Aakrosh Diwas’ across the country to protest against the Government’s decision of demonetisation.

Opposition parties, including the Congress, CPI (M) and others involved  in ‘Jan Aakrosh Diwas’ – a day of expressing public anger in response to the inconvenience caused to common people due to change in financial system.

The Gandhi statue outside Parliament was the rallying point for leaders of the Opposition, including Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and other politicians from DMK, CPI (M), Congress and RJD.

Rallies, slogans against PM Modi and poor implementation of the demonetisation process, speeches by Left parties, including CPI (M) and CPI, such activities were observed throughout the nation.

NSUI, student wing of the Congress, had also planned a protest march from Raisina Road to Parliament but Delhi police had barricaded the area and did not allow them to proceed.

In Kolkata, Mamata Banerjee made aggressive speech, accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of taking a one-sided decision that has affected the life of people.

Samajwadi Party workers in Allahabad burnt effigies and raised slogans. This is how nation witnessed “Aakrosh Diwas” called by opposition party.
