Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi to discuss amid turbulence in the Valley and its solutions.
Mufti arrived in the national capital on Saturday to attend the Niti Aayog meeting.
During a 30 minutes meeting, the duo talks about the ruling PDP-BJP alliance, the recent outcome of Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency by polls which witnessed lowest voter turnout, the safety of Kashmiris in the national capital, Indus treaty and much more.
Soon after the meeting, Mufti addressed media said PM Modi assured her that the center will take bold steps to improve the unrest in the Kashmir Valley.
She claimed that PM Modi has said he would follow the principles of veteran political leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee whose policy stressed reconciliation, and not confrontation.
Mehbooba Mufti also met Home Minister Rajnath Singh and other top BJP leaders in the national capital.
