J&K: Two soldiers killed in gunfight in Pulwama

Two Jawan and one a militant were reportedly killed in a gunfight in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.

It was reported that security forces were launched in Samboora village near Pampore on Thursday night after suspicion of the presence of militants in the area.

A police official said in a statement, “As the security forces came close to the hiding militants, they were fired at triggering the gunfight”.

Following the incident, internet services were suspended in the Pulwama district.

Adding further to this,“Two 50 Rashtriya Rifles soldiers succumbed to their injuries. One militant was killed while two others managed to escape”.

It was learned that CRPF jawan has also suffered injuries.
