The Delhi Police has ended all the confusions over clean chit to ex-JNUSU president Kanhaiya, who was arrested on charges of sedition, said an investigation is still going on and no one has got a clean chit.
On February 9 last year, Kanhaiya Kumar was arrested along with other two JNU students namely Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya, who are currently out on bail.
In an interview to DNA, Pramod Singh Kushwah, Deputy Commissioner of Police of Special Cell said, “We have not even completed the investigation. No charge sheet has been prepared.” He also asserted that no one has been giving clean chit and everyone’s role is being probed.”
Initially, several media reported that Kanhaiya Kumar got clean chit over his involvement in JNU sedition case.
The university has taken action against Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid, and Anirban Bhattacharya, in connection with the event that took place at JNU over the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru, where anti – national slogans were allegedly raised.
