Kalindi Express derails after colliding with a goods train in UP

In a major accident, the engine and two coaches of  Kalindi Express train derailed at Tundla junction after colliding with the goods train in the early hours of Monday morning.

The incident took place around at 1:30 AM when the Kalindi Express left from Tundla station as it was running at the speed of 25 to 30 KM per hour and met with a major accident and derails after getting collided with the goods train near Agra.

In a statement, a Senior Railway official told the media, “A big tragedy was averted as the train was slow while it was entering the Tundla station.”

It was reported that the train was only 300 meters away from the railway station when it met with an accident and collided with the goods train. Meanwhile, the accident has affected the traffic on Delhi-Howrah route.

However, no causalities have been reported yet.
